Ngwa Mercy has been a girls’ representative in many programs for the promotion of the welfare of girls and their sexual and reproductive health. She is a girls’ representative in the sexual and reproductive health programme called ‘reglo girls’ with Association Camerounaise pour le Marketing Social. She worked as a youth civic activist with the Cameroon National Youth Council, Bamenda II council from 2014-2015.

She graduated with a Higher National Diploma in Business Finance and Management Specialist in Accountancy from the Oxford University College Bamenda in 2016. She has also undergone a 9 week Business Training Program in Business startup and Management with the SEEDS Business Institute in Bamenda, Cameroon where she received a certificate in Business Startup and Management in the Year 2015. She is also enrolled in a degree program at the University of Yaoundé II as a Business Finance and Management analyst.

She represented the North West Region of Cameroon at the Forum Regional des Jeunes pour la lutte contre le VIH/SIDA (FREJES) in 2015 in Douala with focus on the Fight against HIV/AIDS and violence against young girls.

She works with Deserve in building a community where every young girl's right is protected and their education is promoted. Mercy believes that, ‘Every young girl and woman deserves the best and dedicating self to educating them leads them to make informed and responsible decisions about reproductive & sexual health.’
